5 Affordable Pieces for your Spring Wardrobe that Even VOGUE Thinks are Chic

Spring is finally here and I’m so ready to brighten up my wardrobe and say bye to my faux Uggs until the fall. As someone who loves a good bargain from time to time, I feel compelled to share with you some of my favorite pieces from Rainbow. Now if you haven’t heard of Rainbow, I’ll give you a bit of background.

The company, headquartered in Brooklyn, has been around since 1935! I know, right? They have over 1,000 retail locations around the U.S. sell everything from clothing to shoes, accessories and even home good. The store has been recognized by the likes of Vogue, Cosmo, Refinery 29, POPSUGAR and more, as a go-to shop for on trend pieces at affordable prices. I’ve personally been a fan for decades. By properly mixing pieces together at varying price points you can always look polished. Below are 5 pieces that I am currently obsessed with.

Plus Size Twist Front Striped Dress

Twist Front Tied Striped Dress

I am so obsessed with Kelly green right now. This striped dress is giving me all the feels! I love the thickness of the stripes and front tied detail which sits right underneath the bust. As a pattern addict I would absolutely pair this with a funky head wrap and some bold jewelry. It’s a piece you can take from office to evening drinks. Depending on how you style it, it could be super casual too. I’m thinking some cute a fanny pack, white converse and a distressed denim jacket for running errands on the weekend. It’s priced at $19.97 and comes in yellow, red and blue.

Plus Size Snake Print Bodysuit

Snake Print Bodysuit

If you haven’t already heard, snake print is very hot this season. I love animal prints - they’re a wardrobe staple - but I’m willing to give my leopard print pieces a break. I see dressing this up with a faux leather pleated midi skirt for a dressier look, or throwing it on with some distressed jeans and a moto jacket for an effortlessly sexy look. I also find that animal prints are universally flattering for most skin tones. the best part - it’s just $12.99. This bodysuit will go with everything!!! So. Go. Buy. This. Now!

Plus Size Layered Flyaway Blazer

Layered Flyaway Blazer

A blazer for every season is a must have in every woman’s wardrobe. This one is perfect for spring because it’s lightweight and features some nice details. It is satin lined, includes a double layer in the front, and a chiffon back that moves with you. This comes in Ivory, Blush and Black. You might need it in every color. It will certainly take you into summer as well. In terms of styling, I suggest a statement tee and skinny jeans. Pop it with a colorful handbag and you’re good to go. It’s nice enough to go from work to an evening event too. At $19.99 it’s a steal!

Plus Size Almost Famous Roll Cuff Jeans

Roll Cuff Jeans

These distressed jeans are by Almost Famous. I love distressed jeans for any season. These are a light rinse, mid-rise jean with a straight leg and exaggerated cuff. They have plenty of stretch so you can move around easily. Super easy to pair with sexy heels or even some cute flats and a cardigan. I’m a total jeans gal and have many pairs in my wardrobe. Although I sometimes spend more money jeans, I definitely have some cheaper pairs in my closet that are trendier. These babies are just $22.99 and will fit any budget. Hey now!

Plus Size Striped Floral Paper Bag Maxi Skirt

Floral Paper Bag Maxi Skirt

Y’all, I’m in love with this skirt! Do you hear me? It incorporates all of the spring’s hottest trends, including the paper bag waist, tie belt, and a floral pattern, which sits on a subtle stripe. What I love most is the color combination and the pattern mixing. They’ve paired a large organic print (floral) with something smaller and geometric (stripes). They've done all the hard work for you. Wear it with a white blouse or tank and you're all set. I’d probably throw on a hat and a woven straw bag for good measure. It’s just $19.97. Yasss boo!
